Punch 901

Thrilling Thursday

It's that wonderful time of the week again when you get to see the crazy interworkings of my brain. I just received a shipment of twine so that's where we are headed today.

This old cassette tape carrier has the perfect size slots for twine cards. I'm a twine connoisseur, rather evident from the types of twine represented here, and I love to take mine with me on crops. But who really wants to transport THAT many spools!!! (I assure you my color choices are quickly reaching 50.) The answer is simple, grab an old tape case, cut several pieces of cardstock to 2 x 4.25 inches and follow these quick instructions.

Twine wrap(743x800)

Step 1: Write the name of the manufacturer on one end of the card. Punch the opposite end with Kreaxions Punch # 901 and insert A.

Step 2: Measure out twine if you want exact lengths. Using a yarn needle, pierce 2 holes in the center of the card and lace the twine through.

Step 3: Lay the card over a yard stick or ruler (to keep the cardstock from buckling while you are wrapping) and wrap the twine loosely onto the card.

Step 4: Lace the twine through the punched design at the end of the card. Going through at least three holes will trap the end and you won't need to tie it to the card.

Here is a look at the case all decorated.

Stop by my blog, Scrappin Chaos, on Saturday to get the details.

What a great way to organize your twine. πŸ™‚ Love the added punch! If my Mom were still able to sew I’d be making one of these for her counted cross stitch threads!!! πŸ™‚
