Punch 907-

Punch 922

Keep Calm and Carry On

I know, I know, that saying is kind of played out, but I still like it.  I think it's a good phrase to work with, you know?  I like it for cards 'cause it can be used for so many things.

I'm so happy with how this card turned out.  It's an A7 sized card and I'm starting to make more and more of those–more room to play!

I started with Punch 922 to create a border for the left side.  I started at the end of my strip of paper and then punched along the strip, moving my paper down in the punch each time so that the edge of the punch rested in the middle of the last design I punched.

Then I continued with the same punch and used strips to create the rosettes.

Lasty I used Punch 907 to create the squares.  It was easy to make them look die cut instead of punched.  For the yellow I used a 2.25" square, and for the green patterened paper I used 2" squares.  I put the B corner template in and punched all four corners.  That left only a tiny bit of paper holding the punched corners to the square, so I snipped them off to create the die-cut look.
