Hello friends! Angela Fehr here and hoping you are as excited about the month of July as I am! Here in northern Canada, we treasure our summer days, few though they may be!
One thing I love about summer is fresh fruit. We have tons of wild berries growing around here, and the fruit truck has started bringing up orchard fruits from southern British Columbia – so delicious! So I made a little card to celebrate fruit and love!
Using the "Sweet to the Core" stamp set from gel-a-tins, I inked the stamp with two colours of ink, then stamped and cut out the images. The sentiment was stamped and then die cut.
I used my Kreaxions Circle Cutter to make the yellow circle behind the sentiment, and punch 307 for the border strip. It always "pops" so much better when matted with a darker colour, don't you think? A felt die cut that had be rolling around in my scrap bin, a bit of twine and some polka dots, and the card was done, and fun!
I'll be back later this month to show off a layout or two using the July Challenge sketches! Why don't you come play along?
