Hi everyone! Its Wendy and I'm back with a butterfly card using this months sketch! Don't forget there is still time to get your entries in for the May sketch challenge!
To create the butterfly, diecut linen fabric with the Kreaxion Butterfly Die. I cut away the antenna because I knew I was going to create my own. Take a piece of thin tacky tape and adhere it to the back of the butterfly. Next pinch the butterfly in the middle and make sure it is adhered together with the tacky tape. This will define the upper and lower wings on the butterfly. Next take a 8 inch piece of twine and create a chainstich. As you create the last loop of the chain stich be careful not to pull the twine through. Adhere the chainstitch to the butterfly using tacky tape with the last loop of the butterfly hanging off the top of the body. After you've adhered it, snip the last loop in the middle and you've created your antenna.
To create the stitched circle, I used the Kreaxions Circle Cutter to draw in a circle. The Circle Cutter not only comes with a few replacement blades but also a pencil tip useful for sketching circles.
The punched border was created with Kreaxions punch #303. I love that scallop edge created with the punch! So delicate and pretty!
