'Happy Birthday to You'

I made this card for a dear friend of mine who celebrated her birthday this past weekend…and I LOVE the way it turned out.  Using Punch 304 I created the {perfect} lace border {no insert}, as well as, the lovely corner detail {insert C} around the exterior of the card.  To give it some 'depth' I raised the punched border by using 'pop dots' and added some pink pearls.  The bow is a {1" wide} strip of silk, which has been 'pulled' to expose some threads.  I then 'smashed' some modelling compound over some 'confetti ribbon', dipped my finger in my Victorian Velvet Distress Ink {TH} and ran it over the {dried} dots for an 'edgy' touch.  The sentiment has been printed on My Mind's Eye's 'Follow Your Heart' line and has been sprayed with Krylon's Acrylic Crystal Clear {Indoor/Outdoor} Finish to give it a bit of a shine.
