One of the forums I call home is My Scraps & More. They are having a summer-long challenge called "My Scraps Got Talent II". One of the challenges is to use a sketch by Kristine Davidson which was created just for this contest. Here's the sketch –
I LOVED this sketch and had great fun with it! I used the cut-away piece from my circle on the “Almost” page (see my post on May 22 in this blog) to circle my picture. Ironically I used the same punch as Barbara did yesterday! While her page is totally stunning, mine is a completely different theme. I LOVE that about the Kreaxions punches! Here's my version of the sketch. The picture is of my grandson Garrett last summer as he emerged from his first experience with the ocean. He wasn't too sure he liked it! LOL!
Materials – Patterned papers, Chipboard, Stickers – Fancy Pants “Wave Surfer”; Punch – Kreaxions #310; Star Template – Kreaxions; Grungeboard Letters – Ranger; Paints – Making Memories; Epoxy Stickers – MOD Designs; Ribbon – Target; Pen – Sharpie
I created the star at the bottom by outlining the Kreaxions Star Stencil on the reverse side and then punching with Kreaxions 4-in-1 Punch #310 using Template A. I cut another star from the green paper and used it for a background. The swirls around the circle and the chevrons at the bottom are leftover pieces from the punches on the star.
As you can see, the Kreaxions 4-in-1 punches are quite versatile! One punch not only gives you four different punches, but it also can be used for many different topics and themes! I challenge you to try the same punch on completely different projects and maybe if you like the sketch above you'll play along at My Scraps & More! Be sure to tell them I sent you!
I hope you've enjoyed this project today! Happy Punching! DT Member Ginni
