Today I’m sharing a layout featuring the Kreaxions Star Stencil. This is such an EASY stencil to use and make beautiful! Simply lay the star stencil on the back side of your paper and trace around it. Cut out your traced image. Choose your punch and punch on the points of the star. And voila! You’ve got a beautiful element to add to any card or layout!
For my layout I chose Kreaxions 4-in-1 Punch #310. I created this layout for a challenge on My Sketch World by fellow Design Team Member Lucy Chesna. Part of that challenge was to use a quote. My quote is from Desmond Tutu “You don't choose your family. They are God's gift to you, as you are to them.“ The pic is my daughter Michele and her two sons Noah and Garrett.
Materials – Sketch by Lucy Chesna; Cardstock – Unknown; Patterned Papers – GCD Studios; Star Stencil, Punch – Kreaxions #310; Title and Banner cut with Cricut using George font; Twine – CTMH; Ink – Colorbok; Pens – Sakura Gel Roll; Brads – Reminisce; Journaling Font – Georgia
As you can see, the star element adds quite a fun dimension to the layout! I simply placed another traced but UNPUNCHED star behind it in a contrasting color to make it show up better. I outlined the edges with ink and then drew a jagged line just inside the edges for more dimension. The border at the side of the picture is also punched with Kreaxions Punch #310 but I added Template A for the border and reversed my colors.
So the next time you order Kreaxions products in the Just Imagine store, be sure to purchase the Kreaxions Star Stencil! Can’t wait to see what you create with yours!
Happy Punching! Ginni Gass, Design Team Member
