Hi everyone! I'm Wendy Price and I'm excited to be here as one of the newest Design Team members! The Kreaxions Circle Cutter is quickly becoming one of my favorite tools in my studio. Not only does it cut perfect circles with ease, but today I'm going to show you how to use it to cut a scallop border.
Here is a closeup of the card showing how I stacked the scallop border and the opposite piece to create a fun deco border.
To make it easier to see in the photos, I sketched my lines and marks out in marker. You would want to actually do them in pencil so you can erase them later. Begin by drawing a straight line. Since I want my scallops to be 1 inch wide, I marked the paper every inch.
Next you want to adjust your Circle Cutter to cut 1 inch circles. (note: you can create any size scallops you wish, just make sure to adjust your Circle Cutter to the same size. )
Now that you have your marks in place its time to begin cutting. Placing the metal tip on the first inch mark and the blade on the line, turn your paper to begin cutting. You will only want to cut half the circle or until your blade touches the line again. Now move your cutter to the next inch mark and cut again. When you finish you will be left with a scallop border.
Have fun with this technique! I would love to see your projects if you give it a try! 🙂

Great border – I’ve been wanting to be able to make big scalloped borders for a while now and this gives me a great way to do it!
