Hi! I'm new design team member Angela Fehr and I'm so excited to be a member of the Just Imagine/Kreaxions team! A little about me, first off: I'm 34 years old, mom of three cute kids, ages 8, 6 and 4, married thirteen years, and my husband and I live in northern British Columbia, Canada. I've been an artist my entire life, started stamping in 1994, and I got obsessed with scrapbooking and papercrafting in 2006 just before my son was born. We just got home from a road trip that covered seven western states and if you've never attempted road tripping with three kids and a minivan, let me tell you, it is totally worth it! We had a wonderful time!
While this is my first blog post for Just Imagine, I am unfortunately still waiting on Canada Post for my first shipment of Kreaxions products. I just know they'll show up in the mail tomorrow, but in the meantime, I thought I'd share a few ideas for the simple-to-use, space-saving Kreaxions Circle Cutter. Circles are my friends, and they can be yours too when you have a tool that helps you cut them in a jiffy!
Circles can add visual interest to a scrapbook page.
Here I cut circles in three sizes to round out this simple page featuring my daughter's art work. Try making your own journaling blocks using cut circles – for extra effect you could even write your journaling in a spiral!
Using your circle cutter, you can also make windows in cards, like the card above. I first stamped the inside flower on the card front, then sized my circle to cut out the stamped image. After the window was cut, I stamped the flower again, this time on the inside of the card. You could even cut several windows in your card – wouldn't three in a row on a horizontal card be super cute?
Some more ideas for incorporating circles into your projects:
- layered, crumpled circles for flower embellishments – anchor with a brad in the center
- circles as bubbles, balloons, wheels
- circles as scallops – see Wendy's post for a great tutorial on using the circle cutter to make scalloped borders
- cut a large circle and then a smaller circle inside to make rings
- rolled paper roses
- layer different colored circles for a bulls-eye effect
- create shaped cards by cutting through 2 layers of card stock, leaving a bit of the fold uncut.
- cut large circles to use as a base for a scrapbook page or banner
I hope you have been inspired to use your circle cutter in new ways today!

Great card!!! Really like the circle window on the card. It really makes the flower pop and makes one want to see the inside.
